Woburn's Winn Memorial Library, designed by H.H. Richardson, is a National Historic Landmark. The town is also the setting for the 1988 film A Civil Action, which was based on the book by Jonathan Harr. It's the true story of a water contamination crisis, uncovered by Anne Anderson in the 1970's.
